Dales Ponies and Norwegian Fjords

Our farm was established in 1976 and is located in Northern Wisconsin, 5 miles west of Ashland, which is on the Chequamegon Bay of Lake Superior.

We raise Registered Purebred Norwegian Fjord Horses, English Dales Ponies, Dales Pony Crossbreds and Friesian crosses.

Our horses are used for skidding firewood, parades, weddings and riding.  There are many horseback riding trails in the area throughout the National Forests.
On our farm we also own and operate the Golden Fleece Village, which includes 8 restored handhewn Scandinavian log buildings built in the early 1900's, one of which is the Garden Guest House.  The Garden Guest House is available for nightly rental May through October. 

 Kingmaker Talisman (Taz) is our Dales Pony Stallion.
 Taz was purchased and imported  from France in April of 2009 from Martin and Helen Rhodes.  Their farm is located in the Loire Valley of Western France. (See Stallion page for more info on Taz.)
